
This first part of this class will be Hatha Yoga practice, followed by Yin Yoga. This is the perfect combo to release some energy in your body before preparing for stillness. Doing a few stretching poses prior to Yin can help your body remain in the Yin postures with greater ease.
Ha(Sun) ~ Tha(Moon) is a slow-paced Vinyasa style class. We practice syncing the breath to each movement while bringing awareness from the mind into the body. A mix of standing and seated postures, breathing practices, stretches and strength training.
Yin is passive and muscularly relaxed, allowing us to slow the breath, hold poses for 3-5 minutes, and allow the deeper connective tissues to let go. It is possible to regenerate your connective tissues though the practice of Yin! Suggested to bring blankets/pillows/blocks or any other props you may like to use! In Yin we practice ways to bring the ground "up" to meet your body where it is in the moment.
