Walks of Life

Normalize throwing a business shower so your friends and family can help support you in what you're passionate about and what you're birthing into the world!!

Anyone else find it interesting that if you get married everyone will show up to gift you all the things you need for your first house together, but rarely do people do this when a single person moves into a new home.

And when someone has a baby, others show up to gift you the things you need to take care of this new human.

When you choose a path that doesn't involve marriage are having a baby, there is SO much less support in the initial phase.

What if when we opened a new business we threw a party and created a business registry where friends and family can gift you the things you'll need to take care of your new venture?!

Or, what if when you decide you want to travel the world you created a registry where others could gift you what you'll need for safe travels.

It's 2024. It's time to honor and celebrate walks of life that don't include all the traditional things we're told we have to do.

Oftentimes small businesses are the backbone of our communities and they help keep life going, creating fun and entertainment, and meeting societal needs.

Sadly though, they don't receive as much support for getting started as other walks of life.

And yes, I recognize that not everyone who gets married or has kids has the luxury of a registry or a party or even family and friends to support them.

What creative and innovative ways do you think we could support our loved ones in the ever-growing paths to take?!

This was half a joke when I first said it, but also, y'all agree??
