An ode to my journey through the lens of the tools that helped save my life. If you think this is about you, you're probably right.

It is what it is. You just have to deal.

Actually I don't, now let's be real.

I've got ideas that make others cringe.

But that won't stop me, I've gone unhinged.

A true thought leader, running a muck.

How does she do it, does she have all the luck?

Is she trying to just make a buck?

Ohhh, she just doesn't give a fuck!

Actually I care from the deepest depths of my soul.

But I refuse to stay quiet because that's their goal.

They want us living in silence.

And they show us through violence.

The best thing I can do is stand in defiance.

Hoping others don't fall to compliance.

They say they’ve granted us freedom of speech.

But it was never theirs to give, they’re just a leech.

Afraid to have their feathers ruffled.

They try to keep all the voices muffled.

People squirm when I speak with conviction.

Can't handle that my words create friction.

Sharing truths that sound like fiction.

You see, I was given the gift of diction.

I was never meant to follow the herd.

Many of them flinch when they hear my words.

The context and meaning completely blurred.

So I walked away, they think I'm absurd.

But those who need my wisdom are waiting to be served.

The only guarantee in life is that of change.

You just might need to expand your range.

Thoughts and creativity being encaged?

I won't settle for that, it'll make me enraged.

They try to confuse our authenticity.

Playing the game of ethnocentricity.

They move with reconnaissance.

I’ll trust my claircognizance.

The goal is to keep us small, but I’m a risk taker.

The matriarch is rising, they can no longer shake her.

Our fears keep us in line, but it couldn’t be faker.

I'll create a path of bravery, I'll be a change maker.
